Swagbucks has arrived in Ireland! It has been around for a while in the US & the UK and now you get to join in with it. It is a site that rewards you in gift cards for carrying out very simple tasks. You get awarded point that are called Swagbucks or SB for short. You can trade these points in for various gift card options including Amazon vouchers or Paypal and Mastercard which is as good as cash. Complete these tasks regularly and you will see the points adding up. You can sign up here.
Below is a quick guide to getting the most out of the site. It sounds complicated at first but it’s really not. Once you get used to how everything works, it will take you no time at all to start earning.
SWAGBUTTON
If you have a PC/Laptop or Tablet, start by downloading the Swagbutton Toolbar. You earn 50SB for downloading it and it is a quick way to access the rest of the content on the website. The SwagButton is for a number of things but the most useful is for the Toolbar TV, you can let this play in the background of your laptop/PC/tablet whilst doing other things and get up to 150sb from this a day. You can let this run in the background by itself, or move onto the next video once you’ve moved up the status bar by 5%. Once you’ve “watched” 20 videos you will be rewarded 3SB.
APS
Swagbucks have aps (iphone and android) that you can download. At the moment, only two of these work in Ireland, this may change so keep an eye on the others. One called Swagbucks and the other called Sportly. The Swagbucks app is great for keeping an eye on any surveys that come up and also for watching videos. The apps alone pay out a minimum of 20SB a day. The videos only need to be played for 3 seconds each, so play a video for 3 seconds then skip it. You can also leave the app running on silent if you don’t want to spend the time skipping through the videos.
DAILY GOAL
Activate your daily goal button. Each day you will have a goal to reach and if you reach the goal you’ll get extra SB, there are two daily goals, a lower one (FIRST GOAL) and a higher one (SECOND GOAL), as well as 7, 14, 21, 28 and monthly goals. Each user has an individual daily goal, so it will be highly likely that you could have a different goal amount to someone else.
You can earn larger additional bonuses when you consistently meet your daily targets in a ‘winning streak’, winning streaks are recorded by meeting your 1st/blue daily target only and run by the calendar month.
It’s worth logging in each day just to make your daily goal, or running the video’s through your tab!
SURVEYS
You can find surveys in a number of places on Swagbucks.
Via a laptop/PC/tablet or phone on the main website www.swagbucks.com and select the Answer tab on the left hand side. Any surveys will be listed there.

VIDEOS
There are a few ways to earn points from watching videos. Download the Swagbucks and Sportly apps and watch 3 seconds of each video or let the video play in the background while you are doing something else.
On a laptop/PC/tablet, go to the Watch tab on the main website. You can leave a playlist running, once a tick appears in the corner of the video playing, you can move onto the next video or simply let them play through by themselves.
GAMES
It is possible to get 10SB a day just from playing games, however this is often not working in Ireland. Keep an eye on it and keep trying to see if it works for you. The quickest game to play is Swagasaurus run, simply press play and let the dinosaur fall off the cliff (the game will end), wait 35 seconds before playing again and you’ll get rewarded 2sb. In total you’ll need to play 10 games, leaving 35 seconds between each play, and you’ll get rewarded 2sb per 2 games.
SWAGCODES
Each day Swagbucks will release a Swagcode, this can be at any time of the day. Join the Swagbucks UK facebook page and select to show notifications so you don’t miss it. You enter the code into the bar at the top of the website or on your Swagbucks app and you will get awarded Swagbucks.
PROMOTIONS
Swagbucks often do promotions such as a Team Challenge, Swago (like bingo with tasks), Search and Learn, Swagenger Hunt, Collector Bills, SwagCode Extravaganza’s. Keep an eye on the website and on the Swagb=ucks facebook page as these are usually great earners.
DISCOVER
Sometimes you may see a great offer on the website. The best ones are the free one obviously, likes ones that ask you to sign up to an email subscription or to play a game in exchange for SB.
Sometimes you may see a free trial offered. These usually require you to give payment details but are usually safe if you make sure that you cancel in time before they start taking the subscription charge. These can usually earn a high amount of SB as the company always hope that you forget to cancel the service. Don’t forget!!
CASHBACK
Swagbucks also partner with a number of popular online retailers meaning you can earn swagbucks for simply placing an order online. A lot of these are UK sites but often, these are the sites that we have to use in Ireland anyway. If you have the swagbutton installed, it will automatically tell you if you can earn cashback on the website, you just have to select ‘activate offer’ and you earn SB from your purchase. You can find a list of retailers in the shop and earn section of the site
If you place an order, you will receive an email from Swagbucks to thank you for your purchase, and make you aware that you have some points pending. These will appear as pending in the “purchases” section of your shop and earn ledger, and generally take 30 days to credit.
SEARCH ENGINE
Using the Swagbucks Search engine via the browser or Swagbutton instead of your usual search engine (Google for example) can win you random SB. Don’t over search for the sake of it as you may get a warning but use it as your normal search engine.
